Who we are
Clipa Video ("we", "us") operates the website at clipavideo.com and the online tools on it, including the YouTube cutter, the upload cutter and the transcript tool. The service is operated by Clipa Video.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use the service, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Links and timestamps you submit. When you cut a clip we receive the YouTube URL, the start and end times you set, and the format you choose, so we can process the request.
- Files you upload. If you use the upload cutter, the video file is transferred to our servers for processing.
- Account details. If you create an account or buy Pro, we store your email address and your subscription status.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe shares only limited details with us, such as the last four digits and the billing country.
- Technical data. Our servers log standard request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and error reports, which we use to keep the service running and to prevent abuse.
How we use it
- To process your clips, transcripts and uploads and deliver the files back to you.
- To run your account, apply your plan limits and manage Pro billing.
- To send service emails such as sign-in links, receipts and replies to your messages.
- To detect abuse, protect the service and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your clips for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Processed clips are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
- Uploaded source files are deleted after processing completes, and within 24 hours at the latest.
- Account data is kept for as long as your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, except where we must keep billing records for tax purposes.
- Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Who we share it with
We share information only with providers that help us run the service, and only as much as they need: Stripe for payments, Hostinger for hosting, and our email provider for service emails. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the UK and the European Union, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email support@clipavideo.com. We will reply within 30 days.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We use encrypted connections and restrict access to personal data to the people and systems that need it. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell account holders by email.
